Found this link on Georgie's site. Apparently UNK is doing a federally funded, two year study on the reliability of polygraph. Anybody know anything about this? Just curious. http://www.dailynebraskan.com/vnews/display.v/ART/2005/09/30/433cbbdcd2823 IP: Logged |

Capstun,I had seen this article recently and was not too impressed. I just don't see where $210,000. is going to cover the type of in depth study that would need to be done. Ted IP: Logged |

I found that amount interesting myself. I am assuming it is a graduate student or two doing their thesis. IP: Logged |

All, I have submitted a post in response to this article. We'll see if the moderator allows the post. When the researcher proclaims there has been "almost no research done on the reliability of polygraphs", I believe this reflects an absolue ignorance of the science and art that is polygraph and may actually suggest a slanted projection or bias, going into the research. Hi guys,The article came from the Daily Nebraskan, a student newspaper at the Univ. of Nebraska at Kearney. The reporter is a college student who is obviously not at the top of his journalism classes. At least we know where the next generation of bad reporters is coming from. Lou IP: Logged |
